SHAWN SURLES - DIRECTOR
Shawn has over 20 years of experience working with preschool age children. Shawn has her CDA credential and is constantly updating her skills. She enjoys engaging with families and their children on their progress and assist with goals for the family. Shawn believes the parent is the child’s first teacher. Shawn enjoys being innovative in her approach to teaching using language and music rich environment to get the children to learn while playing.
LESIA BOWENS - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Lesia has 30 years of experience working with children. She is also an experienced cook! She loves working with children, especially children with autism or other special needs. Most kids are at the daycare for 8 or more hours every day, so she feels that it is super important to treat and love each child as if they were her own. She also believes that daycare employees are some of the children’s first teachers who will touch their lives and hopefully make a positive lasting impact on the lives of these children, so it is important to support them in the best ways possible.
