About Us

Hearts for the Community is a non-profit Organization located at 308 Hess Street in Saginaw, Michigan. We offer a safe outdoor recreational Park and food program for youth on the South Side of Saginaw during the Summer Months, and Winter Months will provide after school tutoring educational enrichment and job preparation services.

Hearts for the Community was established to be a safe place for the kids our community. We started this organization in the summer of 2013 and since that time we have witnessed all the children that attend our program learn new things, build new friendships, improve grades, recognize bullying, and handle peer pressure. Our teens have desired to be a positive role model for the preteens that look up to them, while the younger kids learn about stranger danger, good hygiene, and why an education is so important. They have been the momentum that keeps us motivated each year. We not only want to teach them things that will be useful for today, we want to implant information that will last a lifetime.

The volunteers at H.F.T.C have a variety of skills. They are devoted to ensuring our kids have a productive outlook on life now and in the near future. Our goal is to be patient, supportive, and understanding with each child we encounter. We are excited about Hearts for the Community and that makes the kids excited about our program and what we have to offer them. Hearts for the Community will continue to keep the dedication to the kids in our community for many years to come.
